Celebrating 100 Remarkable Years: Happy Birthday to One of Our Founding Fire District Commissioners!
Today, we are honored to celebrate a truly extraordinary milestone—the 100th birthday of our beloved Fire District Commissioner, William (Bill) Partridge!
Reaching a century of life is an incredible achievement, but what makes this occasion even more special is the legacy of leadership, dedication, and community service that Partridge has built over the years. From our founding in 1971, up until the end of his term in 1990, Commissioner Partridge, was the guiding force in our fire district, laying the foundation for what we have today, putting us on solid financial groundling.
Though retired from active service for many years, Commissioner Partridge remained active with the fire company, passing on the history of our great fire company, and helping out as he could. In recognition of his enduring legacy, he was named an honorary member in 1991, a title that speaks not just to his past achievements but to the lasting impact he continues to have on all of us.
On behalf of the entire fire district, fire company, our staff, and the grateful citizens we serve—Happy 100th Birthday, Commissioner Partridge! Your life and service are a testament to the power of purpose, and we are deeply thankful for all you’ve done for the Rombout Fire District.
Here’s to a century of service, and many more years of health, happiness, and honor!
With gratitude and admiration, Rombout Fire Company |
