Rombout responds to MVA with entrapment
On Monday, July 7, 2003 at approx 8:30pm, Rombout and Alamo Ambulance were dispatched to an MVA with entrapment on Route 9 one mile south of the Dutchess Mall. Upon arrival, the Rombout Chief Officers found one car into a tree with heavy driver side damage. At that time Rombout command notified Dutchess County Fire dispatch that they had one adult entrapped and to see if a Stat Flight Helicopter could be put on stand by. The victim was freed from the car with the help of Rombout firefighters while Alamo EMS worked to stabilize the victim. His injuries did not seem to be life threatening, the Stat Flight Helicopter was cancelled and he was transported to the local trauma center via Alamo. The Town of Fishkill Police are investigating the accident
